Professor Abdul Ganiy Abduls-Salam Oladosu has described Nigeria as a very wealthy nation with abundant resources but at the same time so wretched.

Oladosu attributed the current state of the country to a total  collapse of family, political, economic and religious values in Nigeria.

Oladosu made this observation in his lecture at the naming ceremony of Muhammad Ajibola Akanbi Jimoh, the son of the Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic, Kwara State University, Professor Shaikh Lukman Jimoh, held on Monday (September 27, 2021 at Sango area, Ilorin, Kwara State capital.

He lamented that most parents have shirked their responsibilities of instilling moral standard and ensuring  quality  education to their children and wards, pointing out that failure of which has thrown Nigeria into its current state of misnomer in every facet of its social, political and economic development.

Professor Oladosu noted that those who  have insatiable thirst for  worldly things are bound to be doomed, adding that every man will not get beyond his appointed portion in life.

Oladosu, however, convened a message of glad tidings to Muslim faithful who remembers Allah at all times and put all the their affairs in His hand, assuring that they would fulfill to their dreams in life and receive Allah’s  blessings both here and in the hereafter.

The Arabic scholar, who also  took the text from Quran 42 verse 49 described children as special gifts from Allah, saying that the choice of sex, be it male or female, is designed by Allah aline as He gives child to whoever He likes just as He makes some barrels.
