The 25 years of Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr) Ibrahim Sulu Gambari on the throne of his forefathers has been described as monumental achievement in the history of Ilorin Emirate Community and Kwara State in general.
A prominent indigene of Ilorin Emirate and Founder of Alhaji Dauda Okoh Okekere Endowment Foundation(ADOOEF), Engr Mohammed Kamil Dauda (FNSE) stated in a statement made available through his media team.
Engr Dauda noted that the 25 years of the Emir on the throne has brought about significant progress and development to Ilorin Emirate community and prayed for more to come.
He described the Emir as a true leader of all who always strive for the success of his subjects and the state at large.
He appreciated the purposefully leadership style through which the Emir has been piloting the affairs of traditional rulers as the Chairman of Council of Traditional Rulers in the state.
According to him “the reign of Mai Maritaba, Serkin Ilorin, Dr Ibrahim Sulu Gambari has been peaceful, eventful, meaningful and impactful. It has brought good development to Ilorin community and Kwara state at large.
“The Emir has no doubt brought his experience as the retired Court of Appeal Justice to use since his accession to the throne.
“I pray to Almighty Allah to grant him long life, sound health and more wisdom to be able to pilot the affairs of Ilorin Emirate community to a greater height with more developments to come”.
Engr Dauda therefore advised the entire people of Ilorin Emirate community to continue to support the Emir to ensure more developments and peaceful coexistence among the residents, adding that there could be no meaningful development in any rancorous environment.
