Kwara Speaker mourns Garkuwa of Ilesha-Baruba

Kwara state House of Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu commiserates with HRH, Emir of Ilesha–Baruba, Prof. Halidu Ibrahim Abubakar and the entire people of the community over the demise of Garkuwa of Ilesha-Baruba land, Alhassan Boni Ishiaku.

The deceased, who is also a former Provost of the Kwara state College of Education (Technical), Lafiagi died after a brief illness.

“I condole with my royal father, the Emir of Ilesha-Baruba, Prof. Halidu Ibrahim Abubakar over the death of the Garkuwa of Ilesha-Baruba land – Alh. Alhassan Boni Ishiaku”, Danladi-Salihu said in a statement by his Special Assistant, Media, Ibrahim Sheriff.

“Alh. Boni Ishiaku was a shrewd administrator, who contributed immensely to the education and human capital development of our dear State.

We wish he stayed longer to bring fore his wealth of experience, in further moving our education sector forward, but lack the power to thwart the will of almighty God”, he added.

The lawmaker prayed for repose of the deceased, forgive his shortcomings, grant him eternal rest and the family fortitude to bear the loss.
