Eid-El-Fitr: Kwara Speaker calls for moderate celebration

The Speaker, Kwara state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Salihu Yakubu Danladi has congratulated Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan and consequent occasion of Eid-el-fitr celebration.

 In a statement made available to journalists in Ilorin on Saturday by his Special Assistant, Media, Ibrahim Sheriff, the Speaker enjoined Muslims to “ensure modest celebration and observe the two-rakat eid prayer, marking the end of Ramadan in their homes and adhere strictly to lockdown regulations targeted at flattening the curve of COVID-19 scourge”. 

“I felicitate with our Muslim brothers and sisters, as we celebrate yet another Eid-el-Fitr on the surface of earth. I urge us all to abide by the teachings of the holy month of Ramadan beyond the sacred month. 

“The humanity, sacrifice, perseverance and faithfulness to our Creator we demonstrated to Almighty Allah should not be thrown into the wind. Let us continue to care for one another, pray for our nation and the world”, he added. 

“It is my prayer that Allah accept our acts of worship in the holy month and may the blessings inherent in the festivity endure.”
