MUSECO students understudy Kwara lawmakers

Muslim Secondary Commercial School, (MUSECO), Igbaja, is one of the leading secondary schools in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.

The school is said to have been reputed with sound and qualitative education, hence the school’s motto is ‘Education and Devotion’.


As part of the educational adventurous of this citadel of learning, the school authority on Thursday (March5, 2020) led a number of it’s  students to the Kwara state House of Assembly to cast a glance at the proceedings and learn how bills and proceedings are being passed and handled  by the law makers.


Leading the students to the state Assembly, one of the instructors in the school, Mr Durojaiye, said the rationale behind the excursion was to give the students necessary exposure to complement what they are being thought in the class.


“The school has gone far in trying to impact qualitative education on it’s students. Today’s visit is an indication of the frantic  efforts being put in place by the school authority to catch a niche for all it’s students by  providing them with  sound and qualitative education” he said.

He disclosed that MUSECO was founded in 1980 and currently has about 500 students population, adding that the college has produced various high-profile personalities who have made it in their various chosen careers.


A corps member serving in the school, Azeezat Oyekunle, who was also in the company of the students, described the visit to the state House of Assembly as a great opportunity and an eye opener to knowledge acquisition.


She was confident that the visit would add more value to the knowledge of the students. 


The Senior Prefect (SP) of the College, Jimoh Abdulrahman said the excursion afforded him and his colleagues the great opportunity to learn many things about lawmaking.


He advised his co-students to face their study aquarely and attentively so as to become eminent personalities in the nearest future just like the lawmakers and other movers and shakers of the society.
