IESA UNILORIN presents blueprint to Governor Abdulrazaq

The Ilorin Emirate Staff Association (IESA), University of Ilorin, has presented a blueprint to the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Alhaji Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq.

The blueprint which covered Health, Education, Agriculture and Environment & Urban Development was received by Dr Alimi Abdulrzaq at his Surulere residence, Ilorin for onward presentation to the Executive Governor.

Presenting the proposal to Dr Alimi, the Chairman of the association, Professor Sulyman Alege Kuranga said the idea was to contribute their quotas, as members of the University community, to enable governor achieve progress and accelerated development through execution of people oriented programmes and projects.

Professor Kuranga explained that the association had earlier set up four committees among its members to submit action plans in four different areas mentioned above for possible adoption by the Governor if found worthwhile.

He was confident that the blueprint, which was meticulously designed by expertises from various professions in the University, would be very useful and helpful for the governor and the entire state if followed to the letter.

The Chairman therefore expressed satisfaction with the spate of development within the short period the Mallam Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq took over the mantle of leadership as the Executive Governor of Kwara state.

Kuranga pledged their unalloyed support to the governor in a bid to collectively move the state to an enviable standard.

Also speaking, the immediate past Chairman of the association, Professor Badmas ‘Lanre Yusuf thanked Dr Alimi for giving union audience in spite of his tight schedule and urged him to convene their message to his beloved brother for possible application.

In his response, Dr Alimi Abdulrazaq commended the members of the association for their resilience, doggedness and enthusiasm to develop the state through their wealth of experience.

He pledged to relay their message to the Governor and expressed confidence that the Governor would find the blueprint very helpful and supportive.

Present at the visit included the Secretary of the association Dr Mubarak Ameen, Assistance Secretary Dr Muritala A. Tukur, Treasurer Mr Dauda Abdulrafiu, Dr Ghali and the Public Relations Officer II Mr Is’haq Babatunde.
