Akanbi family commiserates with Emir over mother’s death

Family of late Justice Mustapha Akanbi has paid a condolence visit to the Emir of Ilorin Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari over the death of his mother, Hajia Aishat Nma Gambari.

The team of Akanbi family, which was led by the eldest son of the late Justice Akanbi, Mr Abdul-Hakeem Akanbi on Thursday paid a condolence visit to the Emir and other members of Gambari family at the palace.

Speaking during the visit, the spokesperson of the family, Professor Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi described late Hajia Aishat as a woman and mother of candor who was unique in all ramifications.

Professor Akanbi said it was a rare privilege that our late mother had registered her name as the only figure with exceptional qualities that have not been attained by anybody in the history of Ilorin Emirate and beyond.

He said late Aishat Gambari had the rare opportunity of setting a pace as someone who revived around royalty, being a daughter of the Emir, wife of the Emir and mother of the Emir of Ilorin.

He prayed God to Grant her Aljanat Firdaus and give the Emir and all members of Gambari family the fortitude to bear the loss.

Also in the team include Justice Akanbi right hand partner Alhaji Ore, Dr Usman Akanbi, Justice Asmau Tanwa Akanbi, members of Mustapha Akanbi Foundation and Massalam Islamic foundation; friends and relatives of Akanbi family.

Late Hajia Aishat Nma Gambari died on Monday (June 3, 2019) at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) after a brief illnesses at the age of 124 years.
