IEDPU felicitates with the Emir of Ilorin @ 79

The Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), the umbrella socio-cultural organisation of the people of Ilorin Emirate, has felicitated with the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, who is also  the Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs, on his eventful 79th birthday.

The Union, in a congratulatory message jointly signed by its Ag. National President and the National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Yahaya O. Ahmed and Mallam Abubakar Imam, respectively, joined the respected Alimi dynasty, thousands of the illustrious subjects and millions of fascinating admirers of the foremost Monarch, across the world, to rejoice with him for attaining the landmark age, which, it said, has been marked by remarkable accomplishments and monumental services to humanity and most especially to the good people of Ilorin Emirate.

The Union said that it was extremely enarmoured by the scintillating and credible performances of the Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture, Markurdi, in a quarter of a century that the traditional leadership of Ilorin Emirate has been entrusted on him.

The statement said that the Union was happy that the retired Jurist who is also its Life Patron, has brought his vast knowledge, wide exposure,varied experiences and infectious contact to bear in the discharge of his numerous responsibilities to his subjects and to the government and people of Kwara State and Nigeria at large.

“Your personal life and public service career, particularly your reign, which has been marked by peace, progress and development are insipirational to all and sundry” the Union noted.

While the Union appreciates the Emir’s stimulating leadership and fatherly support over the years, it prayed Allah to prolong his life, grant him more sound health and preserve his alluring wisdom and afford him every other thing he would need to continue to lead the good people of Ilorin Emirate and Kwarans at large to greater and more enviable heights of all-round development.
