Aremu commiserates with Emir of Ilorin, others over demise of Etsu Patigi

A NEC member of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and former Labour Party Governorship Candidate in Kwara state, Comrade Issa Aremu has condoled the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, the Chairman of Council of Chiefs, over the death of His Royal Highness, Etsu Patigi, Alhaji Ibrahim Chatta Umar, who died on Tuesday March 19 after a brief illness.

The late Etsu Pategi, until his death, was the Vice-Chairman of the Kwara Council of Chiefs.

Comrade Aremu described the death of Etsu Patigi as a collective loss to Kwara State and Nigeria as a whole adding that the indelible achievements of the late Etsu would ever be source of inspiration for all.

The labour leader said that the “late First Class Monarch was a patriotic Nigerian, bridge builder and an advocate of peace and unity in Kwara State and Nigeria”.

Comrade Aremu recalled the hospitality the palace of the late Etsu extended to his campaign train during the last campaign, saying that his campaign team was accorded with a warm reception and great hospitality in Patigi.

He prayed Allah to grant the state government, Emir of Ilorin and people of the state the fortitude to bear the loss and grant the departed soul aljanat firdaous.
