The blockbuster movie, The Bridge is not resting on its oars after garnering various awards with the latest been the 2018 Best Costume/Designer Movie at the 6th annual Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards which held earlier this month at the Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The award winning movie has again been nominated in four categories in the maiden edition of Greenview Awards set to hold on November 11, 2018.
In an exclusive interview with this medium, the producer of the movie, Lasun Ray Eyiwunmi stated that, “The journey to place Kwara on its rightful place in the movie industry continues with this latest development. We are proud to say that a movie shot in Kwara state is garnering all these awards and I therefore call on my fans and well wishers both within and outside the state to vote massively for our own product, The Bridge, in all the four categories.
“I believe we can cart away all the awards in the four categories nominated for but we have to work for it by voting continuously onwww.Greenviewawards.com/vote and also telling our friends and relatives to do same.”
The four categories are Best Directing, Best Art Direction, Best Costume Design and Best Cinematography categories.
Directed by award winning director, Kunle Afolayan, The Bridge will be slugging it out for the Best Directing 2018 award with other movies like Hakkunde, Ori Olola, Isoken, Alter Ego, Potato Potahto andAyeloja.
For the Best Art Direction, The Bridge will battle four other movies for the award. They are Tatu, The Island, Isoken andLotanna. For Best Costume Design 2018 award, The Bridge will again face Tatu, Esohe, Isoken and Lotanna while for Best Cinematography category six other movies are in contention they are, Hakkunde, Isoken, Alter Ego, Tatu, The Island andPotato Potahto.
The Greenview Awards stand for recognition of ingenuity in the entertainment industry (Music, Movies and Comedy) with the aim to celebrate talented individuals, who have made impactful contributions through the showcase of their creative abilities.
