The Kwara State Government is set to present a brand new Hyundai XCent Saloon Car to the best Civil Service of the year in the state.
The State Head of Service, Mrs Susan Modupe Oluwole disclosed during a press briefing held at the governors office, as part of activities for this year Civil Service Week celebration.
Mrs Oluwole disclosed that the state Government under the leadership of Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed has constituted a committee that has been saddling with the responsibility of the selecting the best civil Servant of the year.
The Head of Service mentioned diligence, punctuality, attendance, neatness and some other criteria as yardsticks for the selection of the best Civil Service, pointing out that the committee will be fair, objective and just in the selection of the lucky winner.
She said the car and other prizes will be presented to the winners on Saturday during the Award Night/Dinner during which the official launch of the Service Yellow Page will be done at the grand finale on Saturday, 15th of September, 2018.
Speaking on other line up activities for the programme, Mrs Oluwole explained that the weeklong Civil Service celebration commenced yesterday with Church Service at Rhema Chapel, Tanke Ilorin; UMCA, Bode Saadu; and St. Paul Anglican Church, Omu-Aran.
She said the Monday Press briefing marked the second day while Tuesday 11th of September will feature paper presentation to be presented by Professor Raphael Abiodun Olawepo of Geography Department University of Ilorin.
According to her, the Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed will interact with a cross section of Civil Servants scheduled to hold at the Banquet Hall, Opposite Government House, Ilorin beginning at 10am and will be followed later in the day by a grand performance by the kwara state council for Arts and Culture.
The fifth day according the Head of Service will witness the kick-off with a tour to some Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) in the state capital to be led by the Head of Service by 9: am prompt and followed later with a novelty football match between the team of the State Executive Council and the Permanent Secretaries at the state stadium complex at 4: pm prompt.
The Jumaat Special Prayer will hold at Shariah Court of Appeal, Ilorin, Bode Saadu and Omu-Aran Central Mosques respectively by 1: pm while the grand finale will hold on Saturday September 15th, 2018 commencing by with an endurance trek at 6: am covering the distance of four kilometers where the Head of Service.
