Air Force wipes out 30 armed bandits in Zamfara

No fewer that 30 men, suspected to be armed bandits terrorizing different villages in Zamfara state, have been killed by the Nigerian Air Force.

The Director of Public Relations and Information of the force, Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, disclosed this in a statement yesterday,  Saturday (August 25, 2018)

The PRO of the force said that the camps of the bandits were destroyed following several air strikes.

“The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Air Task Force (ATF) for Operation Diran Mikiya, on successfully executed air strikes that destroyed more armed bandit camps in Daji Bawar and Sunke villages in Zamfara State.

Daramola explained that the ATF embarked on an intensive Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) mission to confirm the exact location of the bandits new camps.

The Air Commodore said that the armed bandits pitched their tents at Daji Bawar and Sunke villages but with the help of two helicopters, about 30 of them were killed.

“Troops of sector 3 operation Sharan Daji later confirmed that over 30 armed bandits were neutralized while many others suffered injuries, he said”

The information manager of the NAF pledged  further  that the Force would not relent in its efforts to dominate the area and  ensure that normalcy returns to the state and the country at large.
