Speaking during the interns’ certification, the Chairman of MAF, Dr. Mudasiru Salami said the programme was parts of youth empowerment programme of MAF.

He explained that each student was supposed to pay N25, 000 for the programme but the founder of MAF decided to finance the programme as part of his contributions to youth empowerment and development.

He said the programme was to make the youth active participants in the internal digital programme so that they could be relevant in the modern world.

Dr. Salami expressed confidence that participants had been well equipped with the operation of website development and urged them to make good use of the knowledge they had acquired by ensuring that others benefit from them.

While describing the founder of MAF as role model and exemplary leader to all Nigerians, he advised the participants to imbibe the virtues and values of Justice Akanbi for them to become great Nigerians.

He restated that MAF would continue to promote its core mandates which are education, human empowerment, anti-corruption crusade, democratic values and good governance.

In his lecture, the Chief Executive Officer of D-positive Consult, Mr. Nasiru Abdulquadri noted that unless the youths understand entrepreneurship as a means of survival, they might not appreciate their role in life.

While maintaining that the richest people in world today are entrepreneurs, Abdulquadri stressed the need for youths to be well equipped with necessary information that would make them add value to existing jobs by being job creators rather than job seekers.

He commended Justice Mustapha Akanbi for his passion for the development of younger generation and urged youths to imbibe his footsteps so that they could be remembered for good always.

In his address on the occasion, the Chairman of the Kwara state chapter of the Cyber Security Expert Association of Nigeria, Mr Saka Bolakale Dagbo called on cyber space users in the country  to be conscious of their activities on the website by always trying to ‘stop, think before connect’ so as to prevent themselves from the hazards of cyber crimes.

Mr Bokakale said his association had begun a sensitisation campaign across the schools, organisations and other relevant agencies on the need to be security conscious while working on the cyber space in order to avoid compromising personal profile to hackers and malicious emails.

Bolakale who said the association is a non governmental and non profit making association stated further that his association would not relent in its frantic efforts to ensure that unsuspecting cyber users are saved from the agony of cyber crime.

He advised professional website developers to develop a standard website that will be difficult for hackers to gain access to the profile of unsuspecting users.

Also speaking, Mr Quareeb Esinniobiwa advised the graduands to use the knowledge acquired to portray themselves as world class youths.

He said they can only be relevant and excelled through skill acquisition not certification because white-cola job was not easy to come by.

One of the facilitators of the programme, Mr. Kamaldeen Yusuf said the students had been well trained in website design, graphics design, mobile application and desktop publishing, adding that the application was opened to the general public because the training would be a continue exercise.
