Fenix International donates solar kits to Ijagbo Cottage Hospital

A solar power company, Fenix International, has donated a solar kits to Ijagbo Cottage Hospital in Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State.

Fenix International which is its branches in over nine countries of the World with its Nigeria Headquarters in Lagos, is into solar kits of different categories.

The free solar power installation was done all over the country between 25th and 27th of March, 2020.

The solar kits was presented to the management of the hospital by the Fenix Team Lead, Offa branch office, which covers Offa, Oyun and Irepodun Local Governments, Kehinde Paul.

Kehinde Paul in his remark, said the gesture was to give back to the community as part of the corporate social responsibilities of the company.

He added the gesture would enhance health care delivery in the community because Ijagbo Cottage Hospital had been facing epileptic power supply over the years.

Fenix Team Lead explained that Ijagbo community was not the first beneficiary of the project as similar thing had been done in virtually all the states of the federation through a random selection of health facilities.

He noted that the solar system comes with two panels and five bulbs with two years warranty and it would be used for life.

“Fenix solar light are of the different categories. We have two bulbs. We have three bulbs,We have the one that can power television, fan among others.

“We are into home appliances. The main objective of the company is to provide exceptional service of our kits to all our customers”.

Kehinde Paul said all the communities in Kwara had benefited from the company’s products because the company has Fenix Team Lead in all the 16 local governments of the state.

He restated company’s commitment to continue to meet the demand of its customers through effective service delivery on solar power as alternative source of energy across the globe.

The company Team Lead advised the hospital to make judicious use of the facilities to achieve the purpose of the donation.

Responding, Assistant Director Nursing Services who is the Chief Medical Officer in the hospital, Margaret Adeyemi appreciated the donor for the gesture which she described as laudable.

Adeyemi said that the installation of solar panel would enhance the performance of the hospital to the people of Ijagbo community it’s environs.

She promised that the solar power
kits would be used for intended purpose and urged other companies to attach great importance to their corporate social responsibilities as a way of complementing government’s efforts.
