NAUS reacts to formation of cabinet in Kwara

Office of the Deputy National Secretary General to National Association of University Students (NAUS) sitting in Kwara State, has congratulated the newly appointed commissioners in the state, just as it commended Governor Abdulrahaman Abdulrazaq for placing priority attention to youth inclusiveness in his administration.

The NAUS Deputy National Secretary General, Comrade Adewoyin Tijani Adekola gave the commendation in a statement signed by him and released by his Chief Press Secretary, Hassan Abdul-Afeez Olayinka, described the Governor Abdulrazaq’s composition of the new cabinet as worthwhile and youth-oriented.

“The governor is an advocate of good governance and the bill: #NotTooYoungToRun is gradually becoming a reality in our Nation as youth are being part of the government of the day.

“His Excellency has appointed yesterday, the youngest serving commissioner in the history of our country, 26-year-old Miss Joana Kolo into the Ministry of Sports and Youth Development” the statement said.

The NAUS Deputy National Secretary General, lauded the choice of Miss Joana Kolo as the yougest commissioner in the country and urged her to work in harmony with her counterparts in the state and take a cue from other vibrant youths in the corridor of power who are making waves in developing the Nation in their respective state.

According to the statement, “Sport industry throughout the world is a good business that contributes great revenue for Nations like England, Spain, among others which, just as he encourages Miss Joana Kolo to reform the activities of sports engagement in the state to foster oneness, and togetherness.

The statement also urged the new commissioner to improve the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the through sporting activities.

Comrade Adekola also pleaded with all newly appointed commissioners to uphold their mandates by driving the affairs of the state forward positively, especially Education which is the bedrock of development in all Nations in the world.

The statement particularly commended the Governor over the appointment of youth as commissioners, and more especially the recent distribution of bursary allowance to all Kwara students in tertiary institutions, which he said ‘was not only transparent but also revolutionary, full-proof, and exemplary as Kwara students from across the country benefited from the scheme”.

NAUS recalled and thanked His Excellency, Mr. Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for his good leadership quality and pledged their unalloyed support towards the success of his administration in the state.
