KWASU: IEDPU calls for removal of acting VC, wants Na’Allah reinstated

The Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU) has called for the immediate removal of the acting Vice Chancellor of the Kwara State University (KWASU), Professor Kenneth Adeyemi and demanded the reinstatement of the sacked Vice Chancellor, Professor Abdulrasheed Na’Allah.

The union in a press briefing in Ilorin on Thursday made its position known on the alledged controversial removal of the institution’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Na’Allah.

Addressing journalists and members of the public at the union Secretariat, Geri Alimi area, Ilorin, the Acting National President of IEDPU, Alhaji Yahaya O. Ahmed said the decision of the state government on the removal of professor Na’Allah was illegal a d not with due process.

The National President of the Union said that the decision of the state government was taken in bad faith, saying that the universal practice is that the Chief Executives of the University usually proceed on leave after the completion on their tenure of office.

The Emirate union described Na’Allah as a victim of act of lawlessness, saying that the decision was being acted to drag his good name in the mud and possibly destroying his alluring reputation.
