Tijani Adewoyin emerges media aide to Senate President

The Senate President of the National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS), Comrade Gambo Abubakar Mohammad has appointed Comrade Tijani Adewoyin as his Senior Special Assistant on Media.

The appointment of Comrade Adewoyin was contained in a letter duly signed by the Clerk of the Senate, Comrade Kabir Mohammad Ibrahim.

“I write to convey your appointment as S.S.A. on Media to the Senate President. In the light of the above, you are required to dedicate your energy towards working diligently for the welfare of Nigerian students and as well abide by the NANS charter of demands and work within the confines of the Senate Arm of NANS, your appointment is with immediate effect” the letter read in part.

The Senate President described the appointment of Comrade Adewoyin as a step in a right direction, considering his record of achievements in respect of the struggle for the rights and welfare of the Nigerian students, home and abroad.

Adewoyin, who is the current
National President of Congress of National Open University of Nigeria Students (CoNS), thanked the leadership of NANS for giving him the ample opportunity to serve the country, through NANS, in that capacity and pledged that the recognition would spur him to do more to further ensure that the interests of Nigerian students are jealously placed above personal interests.

The CoNS National President thanked the President of the Senate for finding him worthy of doing the job, and promised to justify the confidence reposed in him by the leadership of the NANS and the entire Nigerian students.
