kwara APC guber crisis: Lukman Mustapha champions healing process

One of the leading participants in the just concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial primary in Kwara State, honourable Lukman Olayiwola Mustapha has appealed to his co-contenders to accept the outcome of the primary in good faith and be ready to team up for the attainment of the emancipation of people of kwara state from the current hegemony that holds the state on the jugular.

Mustapha made the call on Monday while addressing press on the outcome of the governorship primary conducted on Saturday in Ilorin, the kwara state capital.

LOM as fondly called, though admitted that the gvernorship primary race in the state was greeted with irregularities and electoral malpractices, pledged on behalf of the members of Rebirth Movement that the movement respects the supremacy of the party and accepts the outcome of the primaries in good faith.

He urged other aspirants to bury their grievances, shealth their swords and rededicate themselves for the accomplishment of their ultimate goal of reclaiming kwara.

“We appreciate the fact that what binds us together, which is birthing a truly prosperous kwara for the benefit of all is far greater than what may break us apart. It is consequent upon this that I Lukman Olayiwola Mustapha state on behalf of all members of the Rebith movement that we respect the supremacy of our party and accept the outcome of the primaries in good faith.

“I use this opportunity to promise kwarans that I will remain dedicated to the course we have preached and both in my private and public life, fight for the betterment of the impoverish kwarans. I will remain a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and contribute my quota towards ensuring our great party emerges victorious across board.

“I appealed to all my compatriots in this struggle to accept the outcome in good faith and let us rededicate ourselves by standing firm for the party and ultimate goal of emancipating the people of the state from the current hegemony that has held our state on the jugular for decades” he added.

Mustapha disclosed that he had begun move to reach out to all loosers in the primary and other party stakeholders to forget the past and team up to support the flagbearer of the party, Abdulrasaq Abdulrahaman, so as to collectively claim the mandate that binds them together, which is reclaiming kwara for positive change.
